3 Stages of Scorpio: The Scorpion, The Eagle and The Phoenix

Scorpio is ruled by the planet Pluto and is the 8th sign in the zodiac. Scorpio is represented by multiple symbols, the most potent symbols that stand out are The Scorpion, The Eagle, and The Phoenix. These three symbols or totems represent the stages of transformation Scorpio undergoes during the spiritual journey. Through peace of mind, we reach spiritual enlightenment. However, to induce the calm it takes to reach higher levels of awareness, Scorpio must have command of their emotions.

The First Stage: The Scorpion

The Scorpion, the first stage of transformation, represents our baser emotions, the darker emotions that we embrace. Low vibrational impulses seduce Scorpio as they continually react without understanding, empathy, or thought. The Scorpion easily expresses jealousy and anger, the primary source of Scorpio's reactive behavior. If these traits are easily recognizable in a Scorpio, then be aware that their perception is limited by the control their emotions have on them, and they weighed down my insecurities. Another source of frustration stem from hidden motives that they are either struggling to achieve or struggling to get started with. The Scorpion represents Scorpio at it's rawest form; this is Scorpio at their most destructive and intimidating. The Scorpion isn't going around, starting trouble. Still, because it's highly protective of itself, ego and pride will retaliate with such a vengeance, it will seem as if Scorpio was the aggressor. Scorpio, at this stage, learns from personal experience and pain of loss & betrayal. Scorpio will take other's advice with a grain of salt while forging their own path with deliberation, determination, and a dab of stubbornness. This is also the stage where Scorpio is more prone to indulging in substances or activities that ease the mind, also making them susceptible to unhealthy habits in an attempt to reduce the anxiety and emotional impulses in the brain. The Scorpion eventually realizes that the best way to bring peace to mind, body, and spirit is through spiritual enlightenment, personal awareness, and growth. This newfound awareness eventually leads to the next transformational stage...The Eagle.

The Second Stage: The Eagle

The Eagle is the second stage of transformation and is considered a symbol of courage and power. The Eagle flies freely, aware of its surroundings and influence. The Scorpion has reached a state of maturity and is at a state where they rely heavily on intuition and wisdom to solve personal problems and assist the ails of others. Where The Scorpion dealt mostly with the physical aspect of life, The Eagle is concerned with perception, philosophy, and wisdom. Their keen sense of observation infused with their powerful intuition allows them to discern an individual rather quickly and positively or negatively influence them with their persona. However, The Eagle still struggles with balancing the power of insight. Does The Eagle choose to influence the self or the whole?

The Third Stage: The Phoenix

The Phoenix represents the final stage of transformation for Scorpio. As we progress through Scorpios' various stages of power, we see Scorpios struggle with balance. Will the composed Scorpio manipulate things to be as he wishes? The extreme-natured Scorpio is tempered, Reborn from the ashes, renewed, and rejuvenated as The Phoenix representing the capacity for empathetic observation without judgment, thus an expansion of compassion and disillusionment of self. The Phoenix strongly associated with rebirth, resurrection, and transformation is a symbol that represents Scorpio breaking the chains of attachment, having learned the lesson of letting go.

I am 49yr old female Phoenix. I want every Scorpio to know, you are different, Very different. Except it and you will flourish. Don’t fight it, it is not easy all the time. Don’t bother trying to explain or convince someone (not a Scorpio) of the things you can sense, know, , see, hear, feel, understand, the list goes on. They will not, or can not believe you. I say I am a “Famous Loner”
I have a ton of friends, acquaintances, family who love me, and I them. But I’m always alone.. Please Please Please just know you have gifts, you are close to immortal, unbelievable power!
Like Superman, with great power comes great responsibility.. it’s a blessing and a curse. 1 Blessing being the mystical journey!!
1 Curse being others jealousy.
Use your power for good, and know that God made us all different, but he choose us (scorpios) to have this power! No other sign under this universe can do what you can do!
No other sign has phases to go thru!
You can manifest things into existence! You are a magnet, so speak and think positive!
Be kind to others.
You are strong, smart and I bet you are very attractive too… I’m almost 50 and have never met an ugly Scorpio.. oh, and if you use your ears more than your mouth you will almost always detect a fellow scorpion in the crowd. I know I shouldn’t have told you all that.. but I’m so excited for you! Don’t waste time on how’s, why’s or what if’s.. just go with the flow listen to your instincts, read, research, pray, in the meantime
Live & Let Live
May God Bless you more abundantly than usual.
Love,
Rhonda

I wish I had reached the Eagle stage sooner than my late 50s but am so grateful to be freeing myself from the anger and disappointment I felt toward some people in my life. It has given me so much more room for compassion now that my life isn’t crowded with toxic family relationships.

Linda

I am 26 in the Scorpion stage & when I tell you life is HARD mentally, physically & emotionally I cannot make it up. I’m such an introvert with my feelings, social life, even with my family. I always felt like an outcast, if it was because the way I dress the way I think or my actions I just never fit in !!! Everyone thinks I’m okay because I smile to cover my pain but I feel alone & sad most of the time. It’s ironic how 11pm last night I was crying my eyes out because I didn’t think I could do it My thoughts have a way of controlling me to the point of no return…. DEATH!!!! & being misunderstood doesn’t help make living life any easier. It’s like nobody gets me So Controlling my emotions is going to be my biggest task thus far but after reading some of these comments you guys gave me hope that it is possible to let go of all the hurt betrayal & pain I endured throughout my life. I just want to finally be happy I mean truly happy I want to feel that happiness on the inside.

I basically just came here to get a tattoo idea (going for the Phoenix, because im close to that stage). But then i went to the comments and became disturbed; mainly via the 16 year old who is thinking about death.

Im an older, Male Scorpio, soon to be 36 (October 2021). To all the younger people that seem to be confused about life, pay attention to your thoughts, feelings etc, but dont allow those thoughts to take over your life. LEARN ABOUT YOUR THOUGHTS. LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF. At my age, i still think more than I should, but the thoughts have become easier to handle/control. That self control comes with age, life experiences and most of all PRACTICE. Thinking too much isnt just a “Scorpio thing”. So dont feel like a complete weirdo. Every Zodiac/Human has deep thoughts. The only time it gets bad is when your thoughts are filled with bs.

Most times, once u step out of the “Fantasy world” (that would be social media/the internet) , sit alone, decompress and pay attention to YOURSELF, eventually youll figure out where your thoughts are coming from. u may be too afraid to address those thoughts. Especially when youre young, but if these thoughts are ruining your life, u need to get to the bottom of the issue.

Like for me, the bs in my younger years was mostly Family. Whereas I held on to societies templet, about how you should “bend more” for family. be loyal to them etc. the older u get, youll eventually realize that you may have to cut loved ones off as well. It may hurt temporarily, but for the sake of your health/survival, u need to cut the bs people off. Or, only be around them sparingly. Cutting people off, and Focusing on u isnt a selfish thing. its something u need to do to fix yourself. You are your #1 defense. Your Mammie, Daddy etc isnt gonna always be around to save u. u have to sometimes figure it out on your own. thats how u grow as a person

I can go deeper, but i’ll just end it with this. Its ok to be a weirdo sometimes. Its ok to be an introvert. Its ok to want to be alone. But what you younger folks need to understand is that u cant stay this way your entire life. I dont want to talk to people all day, but being a Man thats almost 40, I now understand that I cant be a introvert 24/7. I have to be maybe 70% introvert, 30% extrovert. In order to stay MENTALLY healthy, grow in my career, provide for my children or just simply survive, I HAVE CONSTANTLY MAKE CHANGES THROUGHOUT MY LIFE. You have to grow up and step out of your comfort zone in order to reach happiness. Its scary af. TRUST ME. Its hard to build confidence when u youve never utilized confidence. But dont worry. Confidence is inside you. You have to learn how to utilize your gifts. you may be ugly, but u may know how to draw really well. U may be fat, but you may have pretty eyes. Theres something special about all of us. so why do u keep ignore your gifts and focusing on the bs. Are u letting assholes , who only see your flaws, dictate how u feel about yourself? Why are u valuing the opinions of assholes? these are question u should ask yourself. u have to learn how to say fuck some things & move on. This is something u have to do. Be strong – My Scorpio Fam!!
